Hilborn Manifold Adjustments for EFI or Mechanical systems
I had the amazing opportunity to perform the dyno testing of Sonny's World Class Racing Engines new Extreme Pro Stock engine that was destined for the Cobalt of Doug Kittrell. This engine made killer power and utilized Holley fuel and spark management. Unfortunately final dyno numbers are closely guarded but you get the idea.

My '56 was picked as the featured car to be flogged on the dyno at the Injection Connection Motormania 2015. This was a very special privilege and one I will never forget. And the '56 did not disappoint!
Hilborn EFI...killer drivability!
One of my all time favorite cars is the hot rod red '67 Nova of Drag-N-Drive standout Joshua Norris. Dubbed the "Red Devil" and for good reason, its high winding Hilborn injected 421cid SBC pushes the car to 9.60's. I've had the wonderful opportunity to do both the street and race E85 tunes and to co-pilot with Josh on several Drag and Drive events. Josh's Nova is the epitome of a well sorted out racer that blends form and function to the highest degree.
On the dyno at Danbury Competition Engines as we sort out the Super Stock LS combination for this high winding '55 Chevy Nomad.
Darrin Magro of Nitemare Performance builds serious Pontiac horsepower with factory cast iron cylinder heads and this beauty made over 700hp! This beast was also equipped with a Kinsler IR manifold which I tuned on-site with Holley Engine Management.
What happens when you stuff a Jensen's Technology 598 cid BBC with an 8L Whipple into a custom '39 Willy's? How about 1149hp on pump gas and 1219hp on race fuel. Wow! Tuned onsite with Holley Engine Management

I've had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in multiple projects with Shafiroff Racing Engines but this dyno session with one of Scott's 615 low deck engines is my favorite. Hilborn EFI, Holley Engine Management and on pump gas, this engine just missed the 1000hp mark and drove over the carbureted power numbers.

In 2016 while at Hilborn Fuel Injection, I was charged with helping Feld Entertainment (think Grave Digger) transition from mechanical fuel injection to EFI for all of their monster trucks in an attempt to to reduce emissions for stadium shows. Employing Holley EFI our dyno testing was very successful!
In March of 2017, proof of concept was finalized with field testing as I dialed in the part throttle tuning. Monster trucks use every cell in the fuel table so dialing in the part throttle performance is key to making them do their thing. Every Feld Entertainment monster truck converted years ago to EFI dramatically reducing emissions while still putting on a great show! Mission accomplished and what an amazing experience!
What started out as just parts on day one of SEMA 2009 was driven out the back door and flogged on the last day by ace drifter, Vaughn Gittin Jr. Driving on a just a base calibration by Starr Performance, the performance speaks for itself.
